Document Reader is designed to help users import, read, and listen to PDF documents using text-to-speech. Information We Collect

Documents and Files

Document Reader accesses your device's file system solely to allow you to import PDF documents for reading and listening.
Documents are processed entirely on your device.
We do not upload, transmit, or store your documents on any external servers.
All text extraction and text-to-speech processing occurs locally on your device.

Reading History and Progress

The app stores your reading history and progress locally on your device.
This includes document titles, reading position, page progress, and listening statistics.
This data is stored using your device's local storage and is not transmitted to any external servers.

App Preferences

Your app settings (such as theme preference, reading speed, voice selection, and display preferences) are stored locally on your device.

Information We Do NOT Collect

Document Reader does not collect, store, or transmit:

Personal identification information (name, email, address)
Location data
Device identifiers
Analytics or usage data
Any data to external servers or third parties

How We Use Your Information

All data processing occurs locally on your device for the following purposes:

Importing and displaying PDF documents
Reading documents aloud using text-to-speech
Tracking your reading progress and position
Recording listening statistics and daily streaks
Displaying your document library and reading history
Saving your app preferences

Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored locally on your device.
Data is protected by your device's built-in security features.
We do not have access to any of your data.
Uninstalling the app will delete all locally stored data.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The App offers optional premium subscriptions (weekly and yearly) through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.

Third-Party Services

Document Reader does not use any third-party analytics tools or tracking services. The app may display advertisements through Google AdMob for free users. AdMob may collect certain device information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

Children's Privacy

Document Reader does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is a general utility tool that does not require any personal information to function.

Your Rights and Choices

Managing Your Data

You can delete individual documents or clear all reading history within the app.
You can revoke file access permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.
Uninstalling the app removes all associated data from your device.

Permissions

File Access: Required to import PDF documents for reading and listening. You can deny or revoke this permission in Settings.
Speech: The app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine. No audio data is transmitted externally.
